I'm going for the underdog in this one. Hatton looks strong, makes a good point not to judge him on his last performance against Saul Alvarez, due to the step up in weight.
Kell Brook seems to be around a long time, however he hasn't really fought anyone of world class calibre. Is it because he has been carefully protected or what??? I know Hatton is not world class, but IMO he is a tough fight for most, Kell Brook being no different.
Reckon it will be a close fight, But Hatton will edge a close decision.
Hatton lacks power and snap. I see kell brook actually stopping him because he is fairly fast and has decent power. Of course, it's a step up so maybe his power is overrated.
Kell by UD for me. Maybe force a stoppage from the ref but that would be a long shot. Hatton has seriously improved his technical ability but he's European level at best. If Kells got any hopes of competing at world level he's got to put on a good show.
Kell is building up surely but slowly, this is another stepping stone for him towards major title fights in the future. Hope he looks dazzling against Matthew Hatton but maybe not too good otherwise we all know the US Welters will want nothing to do with him- and neither will Amir Khan (who is praying Hatton wins for the easier fight in the future)
Brook for me is a bit like Khan, neither can fight inside, Brook seems to be solely about his power and movement rather than being able to set his feet and counterpunch. So if Hatton can throw those short inside punches which he does well he could win the fight. I see Brook as being to bulked up like Haye and unable to fight inside, unlike some Ingle fighters who can, Brook seems to have limitations, he doesnt bend at the waist but having said that he uses his speed and power and Jackiewicz was never going to be a problem because he had to set his feet to fight. Anyway this is a good contest.
Who gives a f**k??? He's going to get beat down by Brook. Hopefully Kell steps up after this fight, because he has some serious skills to be a real threat at 147.
