Undefeated WBO middleweight champion Dmitry Pirog (19-0, 15KOs) of Russia will return to the ring on May 1 in Moscow, according to his promoters. Pirog last fought on September 25 in Krasnodar, when he stopped mandatory challenger Gennady Martirosyan within ten rounds. Pirog's handlers plan to match him with a highly ranked contender in the WBO's top ten.

Golovkin is fighting Sergio Mora, and now Pirog is fighting some stiff.

And yet they wonder why they aren't attractive enough for Sergio Martinez to look their way.

and how many Maksym Bursak fights have you seen? Bursak is rated #1 in the WBO and is a very solid fighter, strong, tough, well schooled and fun to watch. That would be a great fight. He's the same level as MW's like Barker or Macklin and just as good a title defense as Martinez is making.

I wonder what made Darren Barker attractive enough?

Pirog should try and fight 3 times this year against good opposition.

Pirog and Humberto Soto are the most over-rated fighters.

Waiting for either to fight a top fighter to see how good they really are

Yeah Pirog said himself, if N'dam can wait 4 weeks then we can still fight.
