Comments Thread For: Povetkin Admits To Overlooking Huck, Who Cries Robbery

Porsche Arena, Stuttgart, Germany - WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16 KOs) retained his title with a very tough majority decision over WBO cruiserweight king Marco Huck (34-2, 25 KOs). Povetkin dominated early, but Huck returned fire in the later rounds to stagger the WBA champion several times. In the final two rounds, a few tired Povetkin was hanging on while Huck was trying to finish him off with big right hands.

The only reason he needed a Ko to win is because old Wilf had it planned that way. It's really very rich that Huck's team even mentioned it. The look on his face was a classic tho. Thought the old bugger was having a coronary.

Still, it was an impressive scrap.

Fuck the ban. Bring on Chisora Vs Huck. Winner get's a crack at Povetkin?

Huck vs. Adamek could be fun. Huck will have to be careful with big heavyweights. He and Povetkin looked about the same size, plus 20 pounds of fat for Povetkin. Chisora isn't tall, but he's big and strong.

I don't think Chisora punches any harder than Povetkin. Physically he should be stronger but Huck is too ****** to realize what his own limitations should be and is capable through sheer ******ity to exceed them. Huck definitely seems to possess ****** strength.

Povetkin isone of the most protected fighters on the scene these days -- has slightly better than average skills, that's about it -- but he's well connected in the sport which means that he'll continue to get setup fights, be the recipient of favorable scoring and be carefully matched to avoid being exposed

              He's distinctly average.

consider huck a "B" level fighter. his lackey performance against p**** povetkin shows it.
a huck/adamek should be a fun easy fight for adamek.
