Former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (37-2, 32 KOs) will return on April 14th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The fight will be a ten round bout at 166-pounds, reportedly against Scott Sigmon (21-3, 12 KOs) of Lynchburg, Va. Lightweights Yuriorkis Gamboa and Brandon Rios will headline the show in an HBO televised main event. Pavlik, inactive since May 7, is now trained by Robert Garcia of Oxnaard, California.

Perfect tomato can for Pavlik's comeback.

I'm very excited for this card.

He'll let Pavlik fight Chavez long before Sergio.

            Why is that?

I could understand if you said Martinez. But why Pavlik? He's been out for awhile, been through rehab, mgmt problems, personal problems, admitted the other day he hasnt sparred since July. Seems right now Pavlik is ripe for the picking for a guy like JCC Jr. who will gladly feast on marquee guys on the downside.

Will either guy even be able to make 160? Especially with the WBC's new same day weigh in deal; not rehydrating past 10% of the contracted weight? Unless the fight happens before July 1...

It's sad that Pavlik is coming back to be sacrificed to Chavez, who regardless of what anyone says, robbery or not, will beat the ghost of "The Ghost"
