Comments Thread For: Roach: Cotto is Declining, Mayweather May Stop Him

According to Freddie Roach, trainer of WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, there won't be any surprises on May 5th at the MGM Grand - when Floyd Mayweather Jr. moves up to 154-pounds to challenge WBA champion Miguel Cotto, who Pacquiao stopped in the twelfth round in 2009.

Then why not fight him at 150. That says a lot and it also brings out the truth. If he doesnt want want to fight a declining cotto at 150 then why would we believe he would fight mayweather at 147.

sorry freddie this isn't a catchweight cotto like how you fought him.

At this point Freddy and Pac are so shook that they have to go around and try to discredit the fight because we already know they are too scared to fight Mayweather

a couple weeks ago (Feb 5th) Roach was actually saying Cotto stood a good chance.

Freddie Roach, the trainer of Manny Pacquiao, gave his take on the scheduled junior middleweight fight between WBA champion Miguel Cotto and undefeated five-division beltholder Floyd Mayweather Jr. The battle between Cotto and Mayweather takes place on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pacquiao had previously stopped Cotto in 2009, when they fought at a catch-weight of 145-pounds.

Anyway, u look at it...Cotto was damaged goods right after the Margarito fight.....more so after the Pacquiao fight....so yeah...Floyd will be getting leftovers...he just wants PPVs from the latino community.
