That would be a sick card. The title is a bit misleading, Rafael is not fighting Nonito.. neither Juan duh. But they are planning on having them on the same card. I would buy it on ppv.

Nonito is fighting Victor Terrazas, check the thread I posted about it. There's a link.

While I don't mind the Terrazas fight, because Victor has earned a title shot at Bantamweight, Nonito should be fighting Nishioka or Rigondeaux. Arum also said in the article that they ar elooking to match Donaire-Arce in the fall after Terrazas. So it looks like Nonito might leave 122 without fighting Rigo or Nishioka.

And Marquez-Gesta is a major step up for Gesta.

Yep just posted on the thread.. I think. But yea just saw it man.

I see your point 4 BUT Who is rigo?? Who has he fought?? He is nothing right now in the grand scheme of things. When Nonito beats Rigo down to the ground people will say "oh okay so what who was he". It's a lose lose situation for nonito. Nishioka is a worthy opponent though.

Yeah i agree but its a step down for Marquez dont you think? :/

Rather not see Rafa v Donaire, that's more of a mismatch than Terrazas and Donaire. If it's Mexico vs Philippines then it will be:

Mercito Gesta vs Juan Manuel Marquez
Gesta has no business going from Ricardo Domingues to fighting Marquez, but losing to Marquez, as long as it's not ktfo, won't kill Gesta's stock in my eyes. If Gesta pulls off the improbable and wins then us Pinoys have a new star. Win, lose or draw, this fight doesn't hurt Gesta.

                  Donaire vs Terrazas
Lame fight and mismatch but to keep with the theme of Mexico vs Philippines, is a more even match up than Donaire v Arce (who is past prime and smaller) imo. Rather see Donaire vs Nishioka here, break the whole theme.

                  Brian Viloria vs Hernan Marquez
Only good matchup I see so far. Marquez is the favorite but I think Brian gives him a good fight.

Johnriel Casimero vs Archie Solis (wish list as undercard)
Solis is still injured. But this is an undercard I would like to see. Archie is proven but Casimero has a lot of potential imo.

Meh, seems like a waste of time for Marquez and Donaire, the match ups look to be too soft. They can do better than that.
