Comments Thread For: V. Klitschko Disappointed Valuev Fight Never Happened

Vitali Klitschko isn’t sure who he’ll fight if he defeats Dereck Chisora on Saturday and can’t convince David Haye to sign a contract.

I believe Valuev did not fight Vitali because he did not want to experience the humiliation and the late TKO from the hands of Doctor Ironfist.

Valuev even get knock the **** out by Haye so why waste the time to fight a Klitschko?

I really wanted that fight. I think due to Valuev's size, he would have been one of the fights that could have elevated Vitali's all time status.

I'll always believe Valuev would've been little more than a punching bag for either Klit. He's just too slow and they're superior to him in every category besides height, which matters little in boxing. I like Niko, he's a good guy, but that's how I see it. Shame it never happened and that some haters will use it against the Klits, even when it was Valuev who turned down a few million dollars for a fight.

valuev would have been little more than a punching bag for vitali - that said i'm a little su****ious of vitali's contracts - i bet he was trying to dictate everything in the negotiations ... he doesn't seem willing to put himself out just a little in order to make the better fights ... valuev, haye and likely helenius and mithchell too (who if you ask me will prob end up fighting wlad rather that vitali)
