  • Comments Thread For: Eddie Chambers Open To The Idea of a Cruiserweight Run

Heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers (36-2, 18KOs) would not entirely rule out a future run in the cruiserweight division. Chambers has fought as a heavyweight for his entire career, and weighed as high as 223-pounds, but recently he slimmed down and his weight has averaged around 208-pounds for his last three fights. The cruiserweight limit is 200 and many experts believe Chambers is capable of making the limit.

I always thought it would be a great idea for chambers to fight at cruiserweight!
He would even be stronger at that weight in my opinion!
I would like to see him against Hernandez!

? what are you talking about? he comes in at 208 pounds at heavweight!
He can make weight easy at cruiserweight limit! Without a sweat!

having 20-30 lbs of loose skin and fat does not help you box

he wouldnt gas the hell out if he was actually in shape.
and he'd get a hell of a lot faster of hand, foot, and especially upper body

Like Adamek, Chambers is too small for HW.

Haye on the other hand is a natural heavyweight who was in his own words "killing himself to make 200" at the end of his CW run.
