Welterweight Frankie Gavin is looking for a fresh start after sorting out his recent personal problems. Gavin, 26, has returned to Birmingham after having problems in Manchester and London. Gavin, who put in two lackluster performances and withdrew from his last contest in October, which put him at odds with promoter Frank Warren, hopes to make things right on February 25th in Cardiff.

Please please please get yourself in the right kind of shape and do justice to your potential, as you're just too talented to let it all go to waste!

Frankie Gavin has the potetial to be world class. It isn't going to happen at welterweight though, he has no business fighting any heavier than light welterweight. Until a someone has the balls to explain that to him, he's just wasting everyone's time.

You are right but I think Gavin has said a few times himself that he is a light-welter. It's just his lifestyle hasn't been good at all to shed the pounds.

Gavin has come out and said he's paying for his own nutritional adviser and he's looking to grow in to 147. I was one of these guys who thought he had no business at 147, but if he can pack on some muscle, he's a good enough boxer to make it work.
