BoxingScene.com has been advised that an agreement was reached "in principle" for WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to defend his title against former three division champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley on May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Alvarez-Mosley will be the co-feature bout to the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Miguel Cotto pay-per-view.

It was obvious ... Canelo's team mentioned Kirkland, Rodriguez, Mayorga, Mayweather Jr and Mosley. When Mayweather Jr signed to fight Cotto they were surely going to make Canelo fight Mosley.

I still have a bitter taste in my mouth since he "fought" Pacquiao. He really disappointed me. Wasn't the Mosley I grew up watching dominate for years. Anyways, I'll be rooting for him but If that same 2010/2011 Shane shows up, then he has no chance. The 09 Shane will pull off the upset and then hopefully retire on a high note!
