  • Comments Thread For: Wladimir Klitschko Plans To Fight Three Times in 2012

IBO/WBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49KOs) is planning to fight three times in 2012. He already has a unified defense scheduled for March 3rd in Dusseldorf, against former cruiserweight champion Jean-Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22KOs). Klitschko will then meet his mandatory obligation against the IBF's number one ranked challenger, Tony Thompson. Klitschko previously stopped Thompson (36-2, 24KOs) in eleven rounds in 2008. The Thompson rematch will happen on July 7th or July 14th, according to Wladimir. After those two fights are resolved, Wladimir would like to have his third appearance of the year in the month of October.

based on chisora's performance in the vitali fight i'd like to see him fight wlad at the end of the year or wlad's third fight this year. tyson and povetkin aren't ready they need to fight each other first.

Come off it. Bruno was better than Mormeck and Thompson combined. Those are just meaningless fights.

              Wlad-Thompson II...

              FUCKING
              GAWD.

Just when you think his resume couldn't get any shittier.

And Klitschko nutthuggers are probably going to co-sign this shit. Which proves they're by far the worst fanbase in boxing. Even *******s were willing to disown Manny for taking Cotto pt. II. And this is Cotto, one of the better fighters of the modern era, while Tony Thompson is one of the most godawful Heavyweights to ever fight for a LEGITIMATE Heavyweight title.

The only thing Povetkin isn't ready for is cashing out with a career ending beating. Can't say I blame him really.

Based on what? Just a matter of opinion. Sure I don't give Mormeck fight much credit but Thompson is not as bad as people make him out to be. He's not top 10 anymore but why does Wlad have to pay the price for mandatory/no one wanting to fight him?
