Comments Thread For: Felix Sturm vs Sebastian Zbik in Play For April Bout?

According to figosport, Sebastian Zbik has an offer to fight WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm in April. The offer is claimed to be acceptable and that Zbik, currently in the United States, will sign the contract once he comes home. Earlier this week, Zbik relinquished earlier his position as mandatory challenger to EBU ruler Grzegorz Proksa, a fight that was set for March 2 and was to be promoted by Sturm Box Promotion, who now might stage Sturm vs Zbik.

I rather see Lee vs sturm! Zbik has no power in his punches whatsoever!

I knew he wouldn't fight Lee. It's criminal what has happened for this fraud to keep his title so long.

I got nothing against this fight. Zibik is decent enough.

Dibella really ****ed up, they need to get Lee back on the Martinez/Macklin under-card.

Dibella didn't *** up, Lee screwed himself big time!! Lee pulled out because he "thought he might have an offer" from Sturm and screwed over DiBella, Lee's fans in NY, and Showtime as well. If Zibik fights Sturn, that will be the perfect ending to what Lee did to many people. All he had to do was fight Quillin who he was obviously afraid of. What goes around, comes around.

So Zbik ducks Proksa claiming he doesn't want to have the fight under Sturms promotional banner and now he is willing to fight him. Zbik ducks Proksa and Sturm ducks Golovkin.

Not surprising, but still disappointing to see Sturm again (seemingly) taking the easier opponent.

Andy Lee declined a coveted HBO slot for the possible title shot against Sturm in April. The good news would be that if Lee wants to fight, he can still fight on the untelevised undercard of Martinez-Macklin.
