BoxingScene.com has been advised by Zanfer Promotions that Rodrigo 'Gato' Guerrero (16-3-1, 10KOs) will make the first defense of the IBF super flyweight championship in Los Mochis on February 11th, with the opponent being southpaw Juan Carlos 'Zurdito' Sánchez (12-1-1, 7KOs). Guerrero won the championship last October after stopping Raul 'Cobrita' Martínez in six rounds. Sánchez took second place at Campeón Azteca Round 3, a tournament put together by Zanfer, TV Azteca and Tecate. 'Zurdito' has some skill and his manager appear to be confident in his ability to defeat a puncher like Guerrero.
