Auditorio Municipal, Tijuana, Mexico - Mexico's "Aztec Princess" Jackie Nava (26-4-3, 11KOs) became the new super bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), with an impressive ten round unanimous decision over Panamanian Shanttall "Fiera" Martinez (15-5). The two previously fought in 2010, which Nava also won by decision. The scores for the rematch were lopsided, 99-90, and 100-89 twice. Nava was in full control of the contest, outboxing her opponent and seemed to be on the verge of a knockout in the late rounds.
