Comments Thread For: Miguel Cotto Advised By PR Trainers To Select Pacquiao

WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto is in the best position of his entire career. The Puerto Rican star, who became a free agent last December when his contract expired with Top Rank, is being considered as a possible opponent for Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and for Manny Pacquiao on June 9th at the MGM Grand or the Thomas & Mack Center.

I hope he chooses Floyd just to spite Arum and also to kill any chance of a pointless rematch with Pac.

Let Cotto fights Pacman in that proposed open arena in Las Vegas, and let see the number of fans who's gonna watch, as well as, the PPV.

And Let Pretty Boy fight another opponent in Cinco de Mayo preferably a Mexican...Let see the attendance, as well as, the PPV Result.

      Let those fights roll...

I question the mind of any trainer who thinks Cotto has a chance to beat Manny. If the fight was close then I could say yea, better training might get him a Win, but the type of ass whoopin Cotto took shows that Cotto's natural fighting style (which can never be completely changed) is tailor made for Manny's style.

I dont understand how after being bent over by Slob Arum for so many years why would he go back for more? Maybe he likes it.

A better game plan might of made it a little closer but he still would of gotten slayed. Cotto has no right hand so hes tailor made for Manny.

Cotto will once again get mauled by Pac and picked apart by Floyd. All Floyd has to do is resort to his pot-shot routine. Although not very entertaining, there would be nothing Cotto could do about it. He's too slow. He's no longer the relentless boxer puncher he once was.

He's definitely got a better chance of beating Pacquiao than Mayweather. He doesn't beat either though.

Not only the lack of a right hand but Cotto had no defense for Manny's offense. Both of them have pretty ****ty defense so it mainly boils down to who has better offense and Cotto can't compete with Manny's wild quick flurries.

Cotto can't beat either, but they're saying he has a better chance of defeating Pacquiao. I agree with them.
