Mia!
Worst fight I've seen in years! Stage fright? Its funny how Ortiz got sooo much heat after he quit in the Maidana fight, but not before he threw punches and knocked him out a few times. -
There probably was some stage fright on Rico's part. He confessed to feeling that way during the Shimoda fight, so I don't doubt he felt some against Rigo. Add to that the fact that "El Chacal" pounced on him in the opening round and you've got yourself a very shy fighter. It appears that when Rico experienced the speed and felt the power, all resistance shut down.Comment

did you SEE ramos vs shimoda? kid was getting out boxed every single round then got a miracle knockout. anyone who didnt see rigo outboxing and knocking this kid out has to get their cranium examined by a specialistComment

Something interesting: there seemed to be some support for Ramos prior to the fight, then someone started a poll and there were only like four people who thought Rico would win.Comment

What a crap fight that was. Rigo is a gifted fighter but every televised fight I've seen from him ****** balls. I could really care less to watch him fight again, unless it's against Donaire.
edit: but to his credit, it was Rico that really stunk that fight up. Kinda wish Rigo would have capitalized on his tentativeness more, though.Last edited by Slyboots; 01-23-2012, 03:32 PM.Comment
