Robert Garcia agrees with veteran trainer Kenny Adams - former champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero would be a tougher opponent than Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, in terms of styles, for WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. With no Manny Pacquiao fight in sight, Mayweather is looking for a new challenge on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Alvarez, according to most, is the leading candidate to get the fight. Guerrero, after weeks of campaigning, has been ruled out.

Who paid Garcia to say that Guerrero is tougher? All along it must be Guerrero, eh?

hey garcia mayweather will look good against anybody. guerrero fights at 135.he quit in that weight before. and he has'nt fought anybody at any rank at 140.if he fights money at 147.he can kiss his career good bye.third canelo is bigger,younger,stronger,tough as hell,and has mayweather old belt.

Here the problem with the Ghost -

1. He's only ever fought at 135 and below. Another issue is the best person he's fought at 135 is The Great, to put that in perspective, Rickster, Baby Bull, Dinamita and El Cepillo have beaten The Great.

2. The best fighter he's ever fought is probably Stone. Siri beat him up and the decision was overturned because Siri tested positive for steroids. I also saw him on HBO where he the announcers questioned his guts as he quit against Cino. Then I saw Ghost get knocked down by a jab by a shot El Cepillo.

3. He holds no physical advantages that would offset Money such as blazing handspeed or crushing power. He doesn't hold stylistic advantages either, Dinamita is a better all around fighter and couldn't touch Money. Ghost is an inch taller than Dinamita thats his only advantage.

4. He can't draw flies.

5. Everyone wants to see Pacman-Money. Providing that can't happen Junito, Canelo and Maravilla are either better equipped (Canelo) if not much better fighters (Junito, Maravilla)...although Maravilla should pick on someone his own size.

RG is a more versatile fighter than Canelo but Canelo size and strength will give Mayweather more problems than RG plus Mayweather Alvarez is a better fight because both guys will be in the pocket standing in front of each other going at that makes for a great fight
