    BoxingScene.com has learned that negotiations are currently ongoing to finalize an April fight between WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (36-2-2, 15KOs) and top-rated contender Andy Lee (27-1, 19KOs). It has been confirmed that Lee was pulled from the Sergio Martinez-Matthew Macklin card, which is scheduled for March 17th at The Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. Lee was going to face a yet to be determined opponent in the HBO televised co-feature.

      Its clear Lee was reluctant to fight Quilline because Quillin easily disposed of a guy Lee went life and death with. Lee didn't want to lose before getting a title shot. He chose Sturm because at least he has a shot. Quillin would have owned Lee if they had fought. They should have offered Quillin more money. Whats worse is Lee being ranked higher than Quillin.

          I really liked the idea of HBO having middleweight double headers. Kind of disappointed by the replacement. I've only seen Edward once, but not the other guy.

              Styles makes fights, You can't guarantee that would have happened with Quilline.

                  I'm happy for Lee, hopefully he takes the belt from that home champion. He needs a knock or win every round. Macklin pretty much won by at least4 rounds and they gave it to Sturm, so Lee has to give it all.

                      Not sure who has the advatage.

                      Probably Felix. he can dictate with his jab and take his time. But Andy has that reach.

                          I can with my wallet. Lee would have no answers for the slick, fast, power punching Quillin. Lee's defence is horrid and he is slow, off-balance often. Quillin clocks him all night till he puts him away.
