New York, NY - Middleweight Champion Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez wrapped up his NYC trip on Thursday and headed back to his training camp in Oxnard, California, to begin the preparations for his middleweight title defense against Ireland's Matthew Macklin at Madison Square Garden, on St. Patrick's Day (March 17), live on HBO's "World Championship Boxing".

First I thought it was you dodging The Kid Chocolate, but now I see it's DiBella protecting his investments. That's what's wrong with the sport of boxing today. What's the excuse for not letting Andy Lee fight Peter Quillin this time?

Why wasn't Martinez calling out Floyd after his sentence was postponed? He's been calling Pacquiao out, why stay quiet in this opportunity to call out Floyd?

Macklin fight is just a money grab. He should've gone out in the media and said he'd be willing to postpone it or scrap it altogether for a Floyd fight. There would have been huge pressure on Mayweather with Guerrero and Canelo, Cotto his only other options outside Pacquiao. But no, Martinez wants his cake and to eat it to. He ain't getting the big fight unless he makes sacrifices.

no one is ducking quillin man, quit lying to yourself. truth is, quillin has lots of nobodies at SMW on his record and has finally fought a decent name at MW. now all he needs to do is continue that. dibella has expressed before that quillin isn't a name that pops out in the division (even though many of them don't pop out at all) to have him be a must make fight for his fighters to boost them up in the rankings or make serious money off of. quillin is still in progress to being a big name, be patient. just cause some promoter doesn't look at him right away, doesn't means he's some beast that everyone is ducking. plus, isn't lee/quillin made or no?

are you ******? martinez would jump at the opportunity at mayweather. question is, would mayweather even look at him? there's barely even any footage or interviews of mayweather peeping his name out. martinez and his people have called out mayweather plenty of times, look around. macklin is made cause dibella looking to make both of his fighters money with the opportunity of macklin being irish and having the fight on st. paddy's day. and he has already said he'd go to 150 to fight either pacquiao or mayweather. mayweather didn't respond and pacquiao said go to 147.

NOTE: before reading, know that i am just joking about quillin. . im just a hardcore lee fan. . . i have no problems w/ quillin and i think he has real potential ..

quillin seems to be a decent guy. . . ugly little booger, but decent guy. . .

however, HE WAS NOT destryoing mcewan! LOL! He was outpointing him by about 3-4 punches per round, and landing the cleaner shots, but mcewan was snapping his head piece back too. . lol and mcewan wobbles him ONE TIME and the damn fight was stopped?! Seriously, I stand by my statement that that was one of the worst stoppages in recent memory. . . If you say otherwise, you're crazy . . .

anyway, quillin hasn't done shyt to earn a shot at lee. . lee and his team bring the money, and put the asses in seats. . LOL Peter can't sell as many tickets as andy lee AND HE'S FROM NY! HAHAHAHAHAH
