Macklin is going to win this fight. Any takers on the bet?

Now Lou, set up the Quillin - Lee bout even though you didn't get to sign Quillin when you had a chance.

This is a great matchup. A middleweight fight worth talking about with two action fighters. I got Martinez outclassing Macklin and possibly stopping him late. The first half of the fight will be very tough for Martinez

Macklin's coming off a close, but tough loss to Sturm. I'm not one of the conspiracy theorists that think he lost. I come from the school of boxing where if you don't beat the champ convincingly, you don't beat the champ at all.

I think that fight left enough of a sour taste in his mouth to avenge that loss on Martinez. Sergio isn't as technically sound as Felix, he'll actually stand toe to toe and duke it out with Matt. I see Matt getting the better end of the slug fest.

I'm not a Martinez fan. I don't think he is where he is today without landing that lucky hay-maker on Williams. Darren barker made Martinez look extremely vulnerable. I can't wait for this fight.

UD for Martinez, Maklin wont be knocked down but will end with his face really ****ed up, just like Pablik. SD for Lee, great fight with a controversial decision.

Can't wait for this fight, great exposure for both guys. I like Macklin but I fear this will go the way of Murray/Rios.

I think Macklin is better, or around the same skill level as Darren Barker and look what happened in that fight. I'm still talking Martinez to win obviously but I wouldn't right him off so easily when you look at the Barker fight.

Macklin's only chance is if Martinez doesn't take this fight seriously.

styles make fights and Barker's defensive counter punching style bothered Martinez, when he started to open up he got KTFO.

Macklin is a tough guy but has ZERO defense. he did well against Sturm but Sturm isn't a big puncher and just stands there and covers up.

I don't think Macklin has the punching power to put Martinez away early, really his only shot is to wear Martinez down but I doubt he'll be able to go the distance because Martinez will be able to land at will.

it should be a battle but Martinez will land too many big shots and Macklin will get KOed.

barker has defense going for him though, macklin not so much. he comes to fight, and that is what martinez needs. he does seem focused on this fight, where as in barker's press conferences he talked about other opponents and what not. also, supposedly he was fighting barker with a bad arm or something. there was an interview of him about a week or so after the barker fight and he talked about it. don't remember if he had a cast or something on it though.
either way, this fight will be good. they're is going to be some good exchanges, i just hope martinez is able to lay this guy out flat at the end of it. he needs to continue that impressive fashion of wins to keep him up there in talks. we'll see what happens. i'm so looking forward to this fight though.
