Junior welterweight contender Ramon "Golden Boy" Ayala (22-2-1, 11KOs) of Mexico will appear in action on January 7th at the Forum Polanco, in support of the reappearance of WBC International flyweight champion Edgar Sosa who faces Filipino Roilo Golez. Ayala will face Nicaraguan Winston Velázquez (19-13-1, 11KOs). Ayala stayed active in 2011, fighting three times, but he wants to become as active as he was in 2010, when he fought five times. He was going to face Alejandro Sanabria on January 28th, but the negotiations fell through. Ayala is promoted by Erik Morales' Box Latino Promotions.
