WBC junior welterweight champion Erik 'El Terrible' Morales may still cancel or postpone his upcoming fight against undefeated Danny Garcia, scheduled for January 28 at the Reliant Arena in Houston. Last weekend Morales had emergency gallbladder surgery in Mexico City. Erik's father and trainer, Jose Morales, is trying to convince his son not to give Garcia any advantages by going forward with the fight. A decision should be made soon.

I was reading up on gallbladder/ gall stone removal surgery, and apparently, there's a procedure that doesn't require any cutting of flesh. The doctors just insert an endoscope (?) through the mouth/stomach/intestine and into the gall bladder, and remove the gall stones that way.

If this is the procedure that Morales had, I see no reason for him to postpone the fight, and give Garcia an even bigger youth advantage.
