As far as British boxing is concerned, 2011 has definitely been an Annus Horribilis.

Fury only won because Del Boy was out of shape.

As a Haye hater, im glad the arsehole is gone.

And finally, as a Brit....this year has been fantastic imo. Only a shame Froch had to lose but i could see that coming a mile off.

All the losses have been outside the UK, usually in the opponents home town.

But that said, it's been great to see our fighters mixing it with the best in Germany, Finland, Mexico, US and elsewhere.

      Here's to 2012

Khan lost a close but fair fight, the points were a bit dubious but Peterson did well.

Froch isn't a hype job, his resume speaks for itself, he just fought a guy who was a better boxer then him and lost.

As regards to British boxing taking a hit, in terms of titles then yes it has been a bad year, however they have been in some of the highest profile and best fights of the year.

These robotic one dimensional British boxers cannot match wits and talents with elite slick American boxers. They should have stayed in Europe where they belong. They cannot match with the world elite. Americans have single handily killed of British boxing

"took some bumps and bruises"?..."Annus Horribilus"?...lol...those are understatements...

More like it was "drawn and quartered"...or "put out of its misery"...
