I think Sergio will only step aside for a Cotto fight at 154.
DiBella is on record that's "he's open to a creative solution". just look at Martinez, he's walking around at 160 now instead of the 170-175 he was before. Martinez wants to move down to get the big money fights. who better than Cotto to get Martinez the hype to fight Mayweather, which is really what he wants.
Martinez is just using Chavez to get bigger fights and Sulaiman is using Chavez to get some pay back at Bob Arum. IF Martinez fights Cotto at 154 and wins, the WBC will take his "Diamond belt" back and ending his threat to Chavez.
I think Sulaiman wants Chavez to keep his title but I think he also wants to f,uck Arum up the a,ss.
offering up Cotto makes the most sense to me. Chavez has at least another 10 years to be pimped by Arum whereas Cotto will probably be done in a couple of years.Comment

if Chavez vacates he'll look like a coward and Mexicans will hate him for it. Arum will lose money. if he gets destroyed by Martinez, Arum will lose money.
Cotto has a better chance against Martinez and if Cotto loses to Martinez it won't hurt him as much because he can still move up and fight Chavez. it'd still be a big fight even if Martinez stops him because of the Mexico vs PR rivalry

If sergio want his big fights, $ & belts! PIROG IS THE NAME, while bak this same website had an article were pirog offered SM $4mill to fight him in moscow makin the point that no fighter in amerika could make him that kinda $ !.... I bet pirog would come to USA just to get a shot at martinez!
