The reigning champion Jhonny Gonzalez (51-7, 45KOs) will likely face the champion in recess, Elio Rojas (23-1, 14KOs) in early 2012. Gonzalez's promoters, Reginald and Osvaldo Kuchle, received a favorable ruling from the WBC at their annual convention in Las Vegas. In terms of the money, the WBC ruled that Gonzalez will receive a 60-40 split in his favor.
