The item about judge George Hill and the score on the seventh round is a misrepresentation of the facts.
The scorecards handed out to press at the end of the fight are copies of the master scoresheet compiled by the athletic commission. Round seven was the 10-8 round that all three judges gave to Peterson — how would any judge score it 10-8 to Khan when a point was taken away from him?
On the copy of the master scoresheet, the commission member appears to have made a mistake when copying scores over, initially writing a 10 under Khan as opposed to a 10 under Peterson.
This was on the part of the commission member who copies the scores over, not the actual scoring itself.
I agree the referee perhaps shouldn't have deducted a point in the final round, but it just makes it more fair because Peterson wasn't knocked down, he was pushed down in the early rounds, it was a bull**** call.
Khan and Roach should take their L like men and stop whining.
