I think Canelo is an easier fight for Cotto than Chavez jr.

I kind of agree, although I think Canelo is very good. Canelo's offensive arsenal, in terms of the variety of punches he can throw, is as good as anyone in the sports. And they're all sharp and technically sound, they're not sloppy.

But he's stationary and he doesn't put a ton of pressure on his opponent. Plus he doesn't take a great shot.

Chavez will absorb a lot of punishment and REALLY utilize his size. He could chop Cotto down with body shots.

But if Cotto can sustain movement like he did last night again, he can definitely beat Chavez too.

I think both beat Cotto at this point.

Alvarez is becoming too technically sound and his clubbing shots and uppercuts will get through Cottos guard too often. his combos just might be the second best in the sport.

Jr is getting huge for a middleweight, and thats the only weight Cotto-Jr could happen at. and Jr has been imnproving, not dramatically, but enough considering his size advantage.

Those 2 bums would put Cotto on the canvas.

Your biggest achievement in life was to win by a controversial TKO to the slowest and lamest Mexican fighter?

No way. I don't think either one has the experience or boxing of Cotto but Canelo has much better boxing and is much more patient than Jr.

Jr would have the bigger size advantage but Canelo would approach the fight with more skill and ability.

I think canelo would be the tougher fight for cotto. I agree chavez has bettered his boxing ability but remeber he only goes back to his old self ****ing on the inside. Canelo is really good at adjusting and not to mention has the power to hurt cotto

I think Canelo is all around the better fighter than Chavez so don't get me wrong there, but stylistically and of course the size difference, I just see chavez giving cotto a lot more problems. I also feel chavez is a bit underrated on NSB (which is his own fault for fighting bums).

Either fight is a good one, just my opinion.

The thing is stylistically I agree but what gave Cotto the problems when facing Marg was that chin. Does Jr. have the chin Marg does? I don't know...

Canelo is really, really patient and that's what impresses me about him. He doesn't rush in, he waits for the right moment and throws in combinations. It wouldn't be as exciting as Cotto vs Jr but I think Canelo would have the better chance in winning.

I don't know if Jr can take Cotto's shots, maybe I'm wrong.
