Comments Thread For: Klitschko's Surgery Goes Well, Set To Resume Training

Wladimir Klitschko's manager Bernd Boente says the WBA, IBO, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion is recovering well after undergoing an operation to remove a kidney stone. Boente told German news agency dapd that Klitschko could leave the Duesseldorf hospital after the surgery on Saturday. Klitschko is scheduled to fight French challenger Jean-Marc Mormeck in Duesseldorf next Saturday. Boente said the bout was still on as long as there were no further complications. The 35-year-old Klitschko suffered abdominal pains at his training camp in Austria on Friday. He was taken to Innsbruck for treatment before being transferred to Duesseldorf.

Mormeck should target Wlads body maybe hell pull off a bizarre upset by Wlad having to take a RTD from cramping or some issue related to the surgery. Would be a nice twist in the heavyweight scene but doubt it, Mormeck hasnt looked good at all recently and especially at heavy I think Wlad will KO him quickly if this doesnt become an issue.

If it was a stone , then it was a simple procedure taking only minutes.I believe that they use a catheter, which grabs and crushes the stone, drink some water, and it passes out in urine in the normal way. Never had it but knew a few who had.

Klitschko needs to use this to take another jab at David Haye and his foot excuse.
