  • Comments Thread For: Mares-Agbeko II, Moreno-Darchinyan: Pre-Report Card

Russell Mora can’t screw this one up. For fans that can’t afford the Cotto-Margarito rematch so close to Christmas, fans using this as an alternate undercard, and fans DVR’ing for later review, it’s a fine starting point.

i think you got both the picks right here. . . although im still back and forth on the darchinyan fight. . . i definitely think mares pulls away in this one to take a 116-112 type decision. . .

You can't hurt what you can't hit, I see Moreno making Darchinyan look more raw than normal and frustrating him all night with his work rate for the decision, I wouldn't be surprised if he's in trouble a few time though on the way to the win

His workrate has been inconsistent of late and I took that in account. It's a HARD pick. I think Moreno has P4P type talent at his best but Darchinyan does as well. Just an intriguing fight.

Hard to imagine fights of this quality having to take a back seat but thats the level of entertainment we have ahead tonight!

Anyway i like Mares again on points vs King Kong

But im struggling with Moreno vs Vic. I'll say Darchinyan i think but theres nothing in it

Yeah I agree, very intriguing. I think that Moreno was over trained for the Parra fight as it was rescheduled so many times, although he wasn't always in the gym it took a mental toll on him, the Cermeno fights he would have lost if they were actualy as close as the scores made out, the Venezuelan Cermeno has close links to the Panamanian based Venezuelan biased WBA.
Moreno has also an on going legal issue with his manager in his native Panama and was signed by GBP through the back door so has a lot to prove to a lot of people and Darchinyan is the perfect opposition for him. IMO, I am looking forward to this...

Couldn't be happier to be wrong on a pick. The layoff and Parra had me questioning my regard for Moreno. F that...he's better than I thought. This is one of the best in the world by a little bit.
