But still, it will be Floyds best win, so its not as if it wont be doing anything for his legacy. Beating Floyd wont do anymore for Pacs legacy other than to shut some people up who think Floyd is better than Pac.
But Pac is FOTD without having fought Floyd, and FOTD is Pacs legacy.
LOL. 35 year old inactive Floyd does not make for a peak Mayweather. Sorry Hombre.

Pac has taken punches from monsters like Margarito so is shop worn. Floyd is at his prime, and being inactive isnt an excuse because that is the way floyd likes it, and he obviously thinks it benefits him and thats why he insists on the inactivity and breaks.

He and Pacquiao are both past their peaks. Both topped out around 140 years ago. Their skills just allow them to compete at higher weights, like Hopkins or Jones Jr.

Stop with the bul**** dude. Manny's problem isn't that he's worn or shot. His problem is when he presses for a knockout he drops his hands and leaves himself open. His other problem is he doesn't know how to effectively deal with movement in the ring.

STop making premature excuses for him. He's younger than floyd. He's closer to his prime then floyd. The problem is he has more flaws and makes more mistakes than floyd.

because even tho people may hate floyd they still put there money on him. and due to his speaking his mind and saying whatever he wants to say. alot of non blacks dont like that. dude says what he wants, is super rich, and can back it up, they dont like that

It'll still be Floyd's greatest victory and the masses will learn to appreciate him when he finally retires, real fans will give him props for the victory.

Thing is, whoever wins will be called the true fighter of this era and whoever loses will be labeled an overhyped media story.

If manny beats floyd, thats huge for his legacy and he will be praised. If floyd beats manny, ppl will say manny is too small and the drug testing effected the way manny performed, floyd ran around the ring too much. Floyd will still be critizized even if he wins. Floyd wont be as glorified as manny.

Mayweather (and Pacquiao to a certain extent) are held to different standards than any other fighters in the sport by some fans.

I think your exaggerating though. Any unbiased fan knows that Mayweather beating Pacquiao is a great win for him regardless of how some biased fans twist and change it.

                    pretty much.
that and floyd has never lost *cough* his 0.

Manny on the other hand got KOed twice.
I think thats the reason why Pac's victory over Floyd will be huge because a person who can pick himself up after those embarrassing losses and then make his way to the top beating Floyd would be ***ing impressive.

Compared to Floyd moving his way up and becoming undefeated... Floyd is seen as some kind of wall. The top of the line of boxing.

And it would be huge if Pac came from the very bottom of the hole and breaking that wall to the top.

That's what I think at least.

I don't understand how there is anyone that doesn't think this would be a career defining victory for Floyd Mayweather, just as much as for Manny Pacquiao?

Do those people not realize who Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather are or how highly they are regarded in boxing history?
