Not only did Cotto cheat on his wife and dishonor his family, beat up his defenseless poor old uncle, but he also cheated Clottey by throwing him to the ground in an obvious foul to try to injure Clottey and lets not forget his history of throwing blatant low blows to try and weaken the opponents that are beating him fairly in the ring.

He fought for 11 rounds with Margarito and found he was not the better man that night

he accepted defeat. he quit

but i dont see that as a negative. he gave his best effort and absorbed and gave a lot of punishment throughout the fight



cotto was beaten to submission by Margarito it is not the same as when roberto duran quit

so i dont even know how anyone can really criticize that

If he was "innocent" Margarito and his team would have fought it in court. They didn't. Do you have a question about that? I doubt it. And I hate to break reality to you but ****m would not have been the only person testifying against Margarito. And his "background" has nothing to with this situation. Unless you're dumb enough to think people with criminal backgrounds have never effectively testified in court. And Bob Arum has a shady past himself.

Its tough. Technically, yeah, he quit, but not like Ortiz did against Maidana or even like Cintron did against Alvarez. He put everything he had in the ring and had nothing left.
