Comments Thread For: Booth: Haye Still Retired, Struggled in Gym, No Klitschko

Adam Booth, manager and trainer of former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, has denied recently published reports that his fighter has resumed training for a possible fight with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in March 2012. Haye, who last fought in July with a twelve round decision loss to younger brother Wladimir Klitschko, announced his retirement from boxing in October. Booth does admit to receiving calls about a possible Vitali fight and conversations did take place.

He must be a good trainer to publish negative publicity about his fighter and best friend

My opinion is that Haye would do better against Vitalli than he ever would Wlad - broken toe or not. Wlad outclassed Haye. Vitalli won't be able to do that and would need his punches to land flush to win the rounds. An on-form Haye could dance around Vitalli and pick him off all night long.

Haye used to take 6+ months off, whilst counting his money and threatening to fight a Klitschko, he managed to do that for years. He only fought a few months back, so we know it won't take him long to get ready.

Booth is the dark prince of **** talking.

He just needs a few months to restore his toe to its former glory so it doesn't cost him any more battles. Since his success in the past has hinged on the health and vigor of that little toe, I hope he doesn't rush the recuperation.

Haye had a broken toe. Anyone who thinks you can fight even 60% like that is one ****** Son of a (your mom). Mix that with Roidimir getting to use PED's in Germany (reason almost all their fights are insisted on being there) and you realize the Roidimir fight was so far from fair it's ridiculous. If you don't realize this, you know nothing about Boxing and are just an ignorant ****** that should be wearing affliction shirts watching MMA.
