What does the tool of a writer mean by "typical British stoppage"? That line was unnecessary...

It means the ref was paid to stop the fight once more than 2 punches were landed.

Told you,Super Bum. Next up; Cleverley.

british ref's stop fights early, as they've been imo rightfully instructed by the board of control....

they often look like premature stoppages... and you'd never expect to see that in a world title fight, but at british domestic level, ref's tend to step in before a fighter is out on his feet....

i had no problem with that stoppage unlike the ones in recent weeks.

His legs were gone and he was wide open against the ropes. A big rght hand was on its way to finish him of. He was a hand picked opponent, no point in sending the poor bastard to hospital.

thank god for british refs. another 50 seconds and enzo's chin might have melted. now we get to see a cleverly-mac superfight. i think enzo can win because cleverly punches about as hard as calzaghe but wait a second enzo said calzaghe punches very hard so he might be ****ed after all.

I haven't seen the fight but would love nothing more than for Enzo to pick up a strap at LH.

A lot more needs to be proven before he can say he's comfortable at the weight. He needs a decent test - Mckenzie for the Commonwealth, then if Bellew if he picks up the European - then a shot a title holder possibly Cleverly.

Bellew jumped the queue to get his shot, acquitted himself well but he should face Enzo Mac before getting another shot at a World title.

Ditto for Enzo - those two need to prove whose the man domestically and the winner can face move on to World level and possibly face Cleverly.

I know Macca will fight anybody and said he'd put his friendship aside for one night to fight Cleverly. That was until all the bad feeling.

But Bellew hides behind the friendship excuse to not fight Enzo Macc and I don't like that he jumped the queue to get a World Title shot so should now clear up domestically before getting another.

I think he's ducking Enzo though.

If Bellew won't fight him we'll have to find another fighter that'll test Enzo at the weight.

We need to see more rounds from him at the weight to see how he copes.
