I think Ward's Dad was Irish, like proper Irish, not Irish-American. Open to correction on this but I think his mother is British.



The link appears to suggest Froch-Kessler II is the more lucrative fight. Trouble is, Sauerland wants it in Copenhagen, Denmark - and that ain't gonna happen if Froch wins the Super 6.

the video i saw, his aunt was speaking in american english accent, but maybe if they came over at a young age their accent changed. . . he said his dad was a local undefeated HW in california. . . his dad definitely looked like he had irish roots, though. . . im not sure about his mom - nobody from that side of the family was interviewed. . . i don't think his mom was around a lot because he said his parents divorced and he lived with his father full time (very rare for dad to have full custody). . . I can definitely see some irishman, or an englishman in Ward, though. . .

and yea froch shouldn't have to go to denmark, but for 5 million pounds im sure he wouldn't mind. . . i think he'll get treated fair, because the fight will be highly scrutinized, and with the amount of questionable results, i think they SHOULD be fair. . . you never know, though. . .

LOL - did you know that Andre Ward's dad is white? Somebody was saying it, and I didn't believe it -but I watched the showtime 360 jant, and sure enough - his pops was whiter than snow! LOL!. . .

Son of Dog is not a racial reference -- it's a play on Son of God, Ward's arrogant nickname.
