A savage sport can at times present brutal endings. In a highly-anticipated match up of former Golden Gloves champions, Allan Green knocked Jaidon Codrington unconscious following the opening bell, on “ShoBox: The New Generation.” The fight was waved off after 18 seconds as Codrington’s limp body slithered through the ropes. Codrington remained out cold for roughly three to four minutes before regaining consciousness. Initial reports indicated Codrington suffered a fractured sixth vertebrae, although doctors have since retracted that diagnosis. Codrington was released from the hospital and a full recovery is expected. [details]
