  • Comments Thread For: Roach Clears The Air Regarding Comments on Donaire

A few weeks ago trainer Freddie Roach made some unflattering comments regarding WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire. Roach said Donaire wouldn’t stand a chance if he moved up and fought featherweight kingpin Yuriorkis Gamboa and he was either lucky or his last four opponents were just plain dumb to get knocked out with the same left hook.

No news here...Roach, like 90% of boxing gym dwellers, talks a load of gibberish in the heat of the moment. Donaire's talents are evident to everyone and anyone...

donaire is overrated , let him fight any boxer with high ring IQ and you'll understand that . top rank just have great matchmakers and they deserve every penny they make . But there's catch 22 here , they kill boxing as sport , it has become pure business , unfortunately .

Gamboa would kill Donaire. Arum would be smart to keep Nonito far from mini-Tyson.

At least Roach has cleared all doubts about what he thinks on Donaire.
Give Donaire some more time uniting the Bantam Div., then allow him to move up weights in Featherweight Div.
