Comments Thread For: Pacquiao-Marquez 24/7 Episode One: Review and Recap

Having provided fans with two incredible and memorable fights, Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez showed their styles don’t just mesh well in the ring, but also for HBO’s award winning documentary series 24/7. If we were worried whether both fighters could provide an entertaining series, they helped ease those worries with a promising first episode. With the history between both fighters, combined with a third chapter yet to be written, you can’t help but get caught up in the anticipation of seeing two of the best fighters in the world go to war once again.

Best 24/7 since Pac-Margarito. I loved it. Inspiring, good insight into their lives and into the essence of it all .. which is boxing. That intro almost had me in tears I'm not even joking. Like their story makes up for a great series. Seriously this is just an epic event and I'm just enjoying every second of it.

EDIT: Had to look up this quote.. gave me chills.

Well considering no one has yet to speak about this 24/7 episode until now, suggests it was not so great. Im downloading it now and hope its good!

It was alright, I honestly don't expect much from Pacquiao 24-7's, the guy just isn't entertaining before the fight. This should have gotten a countdown. Regardless, I will tune in for Marquez and because I will always watch anything boxing related.

MannyPacqui has forgotten what it was like to be in a hard fight his last 7 fights where easypezzy for him meanwhile Marquez has still been fighting in hard core death matches. JMM has more of a killer instinct than Pacqui right the pacman needs to awake the killer demon inside him bcuz this fight is kill or be killed.

i expected a shítty 24/7 with a lot of cliche "bad blood".... but i was surprised how GOOD the first episode was. as a boxing fan, it showed ALOT of training, sparring, behind the scenes-type footage that was refreshing...

although the mayweather show is somewhat entertaining... all the bragging, empty trash-talk, and pattycake mitt work gets a bit old... i can only watch a dude flaunt his wealth and hit the bag for so long. my main gripe with mayweather 24/7s is the concentration on BS instead of sparring footage, training, etc.... and im getting SICK of the roster of d-list african american "celebs" making cameos on 24/7 for floyd.

jmm/pac 24/7 gets props from me for showing the linares sparring/side story & backstage... also showing the ******* sparring match (some ****** fun is refreshing compared to controversial arguing)... IMO, this was more focused on BOXING.

im also excited about the cotto/margs 24/7. that should be a good one.

BTW, jmm is looking beastly. he gained the weight properly this time.

A great 24/7 episode, maybe the best ever up their with Cotto vs Margarito.

Great look at the their training techniques, views on past fights, their improvements and what they think the other guys weaknest is.

Like Nacho's comment that because Pacquiao is a more technical boxer now and not a "wildcat, he will be easier for Marquez.
