Local favorite Marco Schulze won the IBF I/C jr. middleweight title by stopping Austrian Gotthard Hinteregger at 1.00 of the eleventh when Italian referee Angelo Musone stepped in to save Hinteregger from further punishment. The Austrian protested the call but was wobbly, not firing back and had throughout an "old" look about him as the young and fresh Schulze pressured him around the ropes. Hinteregger was at times able to keep the challenger at bay but was trailing on points at the time of the stoppage. The new champion is a brave and tough fighter but looks fairly limited - but heīs a promoterīs dream and sell tickets. [details]
