"If it weren't for a gutsy and spirited effort from Nietes in the last two rounds, Garcia, together with his trainer Castillo, would've left the country not only with their great memories of their host city, but also their ***elry. "
How? Two judges had Nietes winning by 8 and 6 rounds

Anybody saw the fight? How you score it?

Well, 2 judges were American and they have it for Nietes. The Filipino judge have a closer scorecard going for Nietes. One reporter have it 7-5 for Nietes but this reporter i belived is Filipino based here in the US.

Maybe the fight was closer but a clear win for Nietes.

Lisa Giampa had it 118-110, that's 10-2 in rounds and Carlos Ortiz jr 117-111, 9-3, both way off base...WBO judges getting as bad as some of their refs...
