WBA "regular" middleweight champ Gennady Golovkin´s defense of his part of the 160-pound title, against LaJuan Simon, will now go ahead November 12 in Karaganda, Kazachstan. The fight was set for October 15 in Almaty and was then moved to Astana but is now set for Karaganda, which is Golovkin´s hometown. In the chief support, cruiserweight Isa Akerbaev will take on an opponent to be announced in another twelve rounder.

LOL when will Golovkin fight better competition?

This is the last excuse Ill give him. . . He already has ducked and dodged the FRENCH CAMEROONIAN HASSAN N'DAM N'JIKAM. . . But after this fight, if he's not fighting N'dam. . . calling out Martinez, Pirog, or even Lee, Sturm or Macklin, he is DONE!!

I want to like Golovkin because he was literally the best amateur in the world. . . but he has been a huge disappointment since he became pro. . . LETS GO GOLOVKIN! start fighting up to your level!!!

Golovkin had great amateur career, no question about that. But I;m not sure about his prospects in professionals.

he has some promo issues i think, that's why he's busy fighting in europe and training in cali with abel sanchez. the contract he's in expires in early 2012, so hopefully with more exposure, they get him better opponents. once he lands on a network like showtime or hbo, you can expect him fighting better opposition.
