Andre Ward, the WBA Super Middleweight World Champion and Super Six finalist, sustained a cut above his right eye during a sparring session on Thursday, Sept. 22. As a result, the Super Six World Boxing Classic Tournament Final and world title unification fight with fellow Finalist and WBC World Champion Carl Froch has been postponed. The announcement was made jointly today by Ward's promoter, Dan Goossen of Goossen Tutor Promotions, Froch's promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, and Ken Hershman of SHOWTIME Sports.

Probably concern on Ward's part about revealing too much...which I can understand. Why tell Froch anything?

Well, a few people on here didn't believe he was telling the truth about being cut. Which is hilarious, because let's face it, injuries happen in ALL sports. One guy (d4incarnation) even said that if Ward doesn't have proper documentation of the cut that Froch should win the Trophy.

Ward manhandled Kessler, shut out Green, dominated Abraham, and took an EXTRA fight and beat Bika.

But he suddenly turned into a huge chicken who is scared of Carl Froch.
