A left hand, connecting a few seconds after the bell, caught Aiken on the head and put him down hard. Because the knockdown took place after the bell, the referee waved it off but Aiken was badly shaken up and unable to continue.

There was no tv but from the write up, if it happened a few seconds (that could be 3, 4, 5 ) after the bell where was the ref? Out of position? Even in 3 secs a lot of damage can be done...
