    What's Up with Michael Hunter

Why did Hunter withdraw from such a big tourney and opportunity. Was it injury, is he turning pro, he is a great prospect and great young fighter, please elaborate and let us know.

He failed the drug test. Someone that he trains with in camp snitched him out.

He failed the USADA drug test (supposedly weed). One of the people one the team snitched him out and now if a suspension holds he's out for two years. I hear he is fighting it, which is probably the reason he voluntarily left instead of a big scene being made of it. I think he should just go pro if he loses his battle appealing the results of the test. He has waited so long for this opportunity and if he doesn't make the 2012 olympics he should just go get his millions in the pros. The promoters are lined up.

Well he's not going to make millions right off the bat. Good luck to the young man though

I think they have to change that rule. People can pop pain killers all day long, so long as they can get a script, and marijuana stays in the system too long. Guys can snort coke and its gone in about 24 hours, whereas marijuana can stay for a month. Marijuana is not a performance enhancing drug, though it may be used for the****utic purposes.

As it were, I am someone who believes marijuana should be legal, and I also believe that the classification of it as a banned substance is more political than practical. And for the record, no I don't smoke marijuana.

But but but, it's Hunter's responsibility to comply with the regulations, and at the end of the day the buck stops with him. Must be very disappointing for him, but unfortunately he can only blame himself, and he was very foolish to throw away this huge opportunity.

By the way, how is it that someone snitched him out? You mean that someone snitching prompted his being tested?
