Unbeaten Luis "El Artesano" Cruz, who in all likelihood will take on Juan Carlos Burgos (27-1, 19 KOs) on November 12 for NABO title at 130 pounds, said he expects to fight for a major world title in early 2012. Cruz, 19-0 and 15 knockouts, will be making his second ring outing for Top Rank. Cruz-Burgos is positioned for the pay-per-view undercard which supports the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez trilogy.

broner will probably be champ by then,so it's either salgado or broner, salgado is a lot easier, maybe he'll go for salgado and avoid broner, but if he does choose broner i'll go for cruz,i think broner is a guy who should be at lightweigh where he belongs, don't like him much

I like the way Luis Cruz fights he reminds me of Cotto he's got pretty good defense doesn't get hit a lot has good boxing skills power in both hands a little bit quiet but people like him. So thats a good thing I don't know nothing about this guy that he's fighting but he has a pretty good record should be a good one anytime this guy Cruz fights I tune in for sure.

cruz is the next big thing similar to cotto in style and the way he handles himself he will be champ and will beat any1 in the division he was brought up at a good pace

Cruz is a solid fighter. If he wants to fight for the WBO title, he'll most likely have to face Broner and it will be in the US, as Broner has a good promoter in Golden Boy that will do whatever they can to keep the fight in the states. If Cruz wants to fight for the IBF title, then he'll have to fight for it in Mexico or the US. Salgado also has a very good promoter in Mexico and will not need to travel to PR for a good purse. However, if the purse is significant, I can definitely see HG Boxing accepting the fight in PR and taking Salgado out there to defend.
