WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (38-0-1, 28 KOs) stopped Alfonso Gomez (23-5-2, 12 KOs) in the sixth round at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Gomez suffered a flash knockdown in the first round and then Alvarez finished him off with a barrage of punches when he trapped him against the ropes in the sixth. Photos by Bryan Crowe.
