Comments Thread For: Frankie Gavin, Lynes Take a Pass on Adnan Amar

The British Boxing Board of Control has announced that Frankie Gavin (11-0, 8KOs) has withrawn from the opportunity to face Adnan Amar (24-1, 7KOs) for the BBBofC English welterweight title. Gavin was nominated for a shot by the BBBoC but promoter Frank Warren made it pretty clear that he does not believe Gavin is ready to face an opponent with the experience of Amar.

He should be fighting at JrWW or LW. He's too fat and out of shape at WW.

      Good move by Fish Eyes.

Get that fat little ****er in shape and back down to light welter.

The kid's potential to be great is enormous but as McGuiggan pointed out, his potential to be the biggest waste of talent that Britain has ever produced is equally as high.

Common Frankie, sort your life out.

Disapointed in Amar's career thus far. He's been inactive the past few years, and hasn't really thought anybody of significance on the domestic scene. Would like to see him mix it with someone like Curtis Woodhouse or Craig Watson to get his name back on the Welterweight scene.
