Belfast, Ireland - Super bantamweight prospect Carl Frampton (11-0, 7 KOs) stopped late replacement Mark Quon (11-4-1, 2 KOs) at 1:11 to capture the vacant Commonwealth title. Frampton was in full control and dominated the action. He was punishing Quon and dropped him with a very hard counter in the fourth. Quon beat the count on insteady legs and was getting more punishment before the referee jumped in to stop the action. Quon's corner was getting ready to throw in the towel at the time of the stoppage.

Scott Quigg is a tidy box-fighter but he gets taken apart by Frampton who is sharper and altogether more powerful. Carl has real star potential. Seems ultra dedicated too.
