I just hope justice is served in this matter, whether she did it or not. Personally, I think she killed him...

i thought the laceration on the back of his head was proved to be from bystanders throwing rocks at him when he was fighting with his wife on the streets?

i just don't know what to think - you can play the evidence so many ways.

why would gatti's family have a problem with all the money being put in a trust for his kid(s), though? that's what should happen anyway - should be strictly held for his children.

this is a sad coda to the whole tragic incident -- anyone who followed Gatti's long career had to realize that toward the end he was brain damaged in some way -- his increasingly slurred speech was evident and it was hard at times to even understand what he was saying, at times he was incoherent -- he had been in too many wars and had taken far too many beatings in many of his wins and losses over the years -- from I what I have read, his personal life after boxing was pretty much a mess -- I have no idea what happened on the night that he died but any way you look at it, it is terrible -- Gatti was one of the greatest action fighters of all time but he paid a very heavy and ultimately fatal price for his warrior mentality in the ring

Several things in this case seem strange. The purse strap being used as a noose always appeared questionable to me. And Gatti's wife's reasoning for why Arturo would take his own life seems very weak. One never knows what's going on in another person's head, but committing suicide because you're afraid your wife will leave you? Assuming Gatti was that head-over-heals about her, one might suppose he'd wait until after she actually left to do himself in.

The Brazilian police initially held Gatti's wife on su****ion of murder. They investigated, did an autopsy and determined Arturo's death was a suicide. Let's assume for a moment the Brazilians did a competent job. Why would the official in charge of the investigation be so dismissive of the Americans' findings? I'm not saying there's a cover-up, but, this is a very serious case, there ought to be a little more open-mindedness about differing opinions.

The whole thing is crazy. I only hope justice is done. I don't want to say Gatti's wife murdered him, because I obviously don't know. But the American forensic experts' findings seem to make more sense than the Brazilians'.

gatti's family DOES want the money to go to his 2 children...but if amanda has involvement with his death, she needs to be penalized....is there any fault in that concept?

my Cuban friend, this IS a coverup, subsidized with money, hands down. i too believe that amanda might not have murdered him, but i do strongly beleive that she has involvement with his death......umm which is...in the end state...the same thing

what you read is bits and pieces of what the news media loves to harp on - misfortune. it is too boring and non-revenue generating for the media to print the good things he did on a day to day basis in helping the unfortuante.
