Comments Thread For: Roach’s Pros Already Paying Dividends for Team USA

A few days have elapsed since Freddie Roach arrived at the USA Boxing headquarters in Colorado Springs with the help of a few of his friends to help this year’s crop of Olympic Trials winners. So far, the pleasure has been mutual.

Who will Roach be training next? Basketball players?

He already teaches 30 MMA GUys, 50 Boxers, 10 housewives, 10 actors.

How about putting in some personal work fight a few of your fighters? ******* gets 90% of your time, Amir Khan gets 5% and the rest of your 50 "fighters" have to fight over 5% of your time.

      like McDonalds of Training.

I've sparred with Lamont, Adrien, and Jorge during this training camp and we even fought under a a simulated computer scoring event. They have not came at us in a PRO style they understand the difference and helped push me through all 3 rounds... Freddie Roach has been a big help also along with Barry Hunter and Mike Stafford so I'm soaking in everything they're teaching me

Its so funny Roach is like a celeberity trainer now! Unreal! What happened to taking a true US Olympian in Vanes! The same Vanes who smacked Berto Bradley and Trout in the trials! U dont believe me look it up! So funny this dude is like a Diva! He takes a guy in Quillin who has almost no amateur experience instead of a boxer who has over 100 fights in the amateurs and actually was a 2004 Olympian! Roach used to be different now hes a total Diva!

For the most part the team is good, Rau'shee Warren has been doing good as a leader, Marcus Browne another southpaw and fellow New Yorker has helped me out a lot on technique, Jesse Hart is hungry for that gold medal, Jose Ramirez has been working his ass off, Errol Spence is another guy is constantly working I mean overall we know we got a lot to make up from the 2008 team but we're not really worried about the past. Depending how I do though after this year in amateur boxing will determine if I go pro and yes we do studying on most of the other teams around the world.

Floyd Sr. and Uncle Roger can only wish they were half as good as Freddie. They would be half as good if only they would stop sucking on that CrackPipe!
