MANILA – Congressman MANNY “Pacman” PACQUIAO and JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ kicked off their 25,000-mile four-city international media tour, on Saturday, with an outdoor public rally at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila. Televised live nationally as an hour-long special on GMA 7, the rally attracted an estimated crowd of 70,000 enthusiastic Pacquiao and Marquez fans. Quirino Grandstand, named after former Philippine President Elpidio Quirino, is where Presidents of the Philippines traditionally take their oath of office and deliver their first address to the nation.

holy ****! 70k fans just for the promo tour?! PACSMASH has the power of a great country on his back. . . I want to go to the Philippines and enjoy PACSMASH MANIA!!!

I've heard the filipinos are very kind and welcoming to all foreigners. Even when a boxer beats their hometown guy, they treat the visiting boxer like a king!

I wholeheartedly second this. Great for both countries and great for boxing. Best of luck to both fighters.

Events of this scale always generate new fans and that's no bad thing.

However, I don't think my life will be complete until I've seen an episode of "Manny many prizes." Anyone got a link?????
